About Seed & Season
The story behind the Seed & Season Garden Society and the idea of gathering around gardens and the rhythm of the seasons.
Seed & Season Garden Society was created from a simple observation: many people spend time tending gardens, but very few have a place to talk about the experience with others.
Gardens invite us into a slower rhythm. We plant seeds, wait for things to grow, learn from what works and what doesn’t, and begin again each season. Seed & Season was created as a space where people who feel connected to that rhythm can gather and share what the garden is teaching them.
The society gathers primarily through Garden Circles, small conversations inspired by the garden and the seasons. Participants sit together and move through a few simple questions about what’s happening in their gardens and in the season.

These gatherings are not gardening classes and no experience is required. Some people come because they grow kitchen gardens, others are just beginning, and many simply enjoy being around others who appreciate seeds, soil, and the changing seasons.
Over time, Seed & Season will also host seasonal gatherings, collaborative workshops with local artists and practitioners, and community events that celebrate the act of growing and tending living things.
At its heart, Seed & Season is simply a place to slow down, share stories from the garden, and build community around the quiet rhythm of the year.
